The body must also work and, therefore, needs strength and support to fight the disease and repair body tissues. This strength comes from receiving clean water, fresh air, energy (from food), and a dry, protected environment, which are called “supportive treatment.” Every sick animal should receive supportive treatment to minimize its suffering and increase its chances of recovery.
